The developers at Foursquare have partnered with Samsung, and they are at it again! On Friday they introduced a new feature called the Foursquare Time Machine, which creates an interesting animation with an artistic look into the user’s past travels and check ins.

Users of Foursquare enjoy the app’s ability to make sometimes mundane tasks like going to the grocery store, gas station, and getting an oil change more fun. Plus it’s ability to follow the user’s friends and find out what bar, nightclub or restaurant they are patronizing allows people to feel more connected, share tips about the location, add it to their favorites list, and discover new entertainment spots. This new Time Machine shows users where they’ve traveled in their most frequented city, and shows them great new places to check out!

Foursquare Time Machine’s Features Include:

  • Zooming through time and space as you “travel” to visualize all your check-ins
  • Discovering all the places you should head to next with great hot spot suggestions in the area
  • Ability to save and share pretty infographics of all your stats with your friends on other social networks

“While the Time Machine automatically plays an animation that jumps from nav-point to nav-point in your city, there’s also the option to manually sift through the history of your local journeys. Each location is associated with a time and a date, so you can know exactly where you were on what day and at what time.” – MakeUseOf.com
